Design Search Associates serves as a strategic advisor to leading architecture and design firms seeking exceptional talent. Currently we are filling the following leadership opportunity and invite you to consider submitting your resume and professional portfolio.

As Senior Project Director, you will provide senior-level leadership to our staff of 20+ interior designers by managing project staff, budgets, schedules and key client relationships.

Essential Functions
•Manage scheduling of all staff and team assignments
•Strong organization, communication, analytical and relationship management skills
•Demonstrate high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling
•Manage project schedules and deadlines, ensuring compliance with contract and client expectations.
•Guide the team (and client) through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation through to completion.
•Facilitate all project kick offs with internal staff and key stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are communicated and understood by all.
•Participate in staff reviews and provide coaching & mentoring
•Resolve administrative issues, and manpower allocations
•Assist with training on project management process and tools
•Provide quality control (drawing review) on all projects, must have a strong knowledge of architectural drawings and FF&E requirements.
•Scheduling and ensuring design reviews occur and are maintained in conjunction with milestone deliverables for each project
•Participate in monthly operational calls and contribute to all action items as Identified on those calls
•Assist WA in the establishment and refinement of best practices of standards of excellence.
•Contribute to the growth of the company
•Monitor project process, efficiency and profitability through actively tracking each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path.
•Assist in training and developing WA team members in the skills and understanding of firm procedures, methodology and practices expected for a successful project implementation.
•Participate in completing work plans, fee forecasts and review of project costing reports
•Participate on monthly calls with accounting to review monthly billings and revenues are on target, actively identifying any issues and defining resolutions to ensure all financial goals are being met.
•Identify potential supplemental service opportunities
•Assist Project Managers and Design Directors with scope management
•Manage relationships with key clients
•Comply with all WA policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.

Skills & Abilities
•Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design and/or Project Management
•Experience: 10+ years of experience in Architecture/Interior Design and Management, preferably large-scale hospitality
•Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Project Management Software
